Kappa Alpha Theta Question
Hey girls,
I just bought a beautiful necklace with a delicate pansy charm, and I was wondering if it would be tacky or inappropriate to wear before initiation. I'm a Theta pledge and won't be initiated until late October. Thoughts?

Ask your new member educator or big sister.

Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta!
I'd love to know where you found a pansy charm (and I suspect there are some TriDeltas who'd also be interested). Maybe you can PM me and share?
As far as I know, "letters" are not worn until after initiation. Personally I'd have no problem with that necklace for a new member.

Thank you! Just so you know, etsy.com has a lot of cute sorority things. I won't post the link to the exact necklace because it's techically a live auction sort of thing.
AzTheta, your PM inbox is full! message me when you free up some space and I'll send you the link!

Welcome to Theta! Absolutely OK! Pansies & kites are perfect symbols for our new members to wear & show their new "home", even prior to initiation. Now we want to see a picture

the necklace is darling! I'm dying to find a pansy bead for my pandora bracelet. The ring isn't pansy-ish enough for me though. Welcome to Theta!

Oh, they are both beautiful! If they were violets, I'd be honored to see our Alphas in them!

a LITTLE off-topic, but do you know where to get actual sorority related stuff (like letters) for Pandora bracelets??
I was told that most beads that "fit most bracelet types" actually don't fit Pandora bracelets!
So like these: http://www.minersden.com/sororitybeads.html wouldn't fit

James Avery (who I normally LOVE), now has sorority charms. http://search.jamesavery.com/?all=u1...it=SEARCH&u1=q
(I'm not crazy about these)
I still prefer the "regular" charms - http://search.jamesavery.com/?u1=top...v=Charms&res=1
Fleur de lis! Ladybugs! Keys!Tiaras! Turtles! Owls! Doves! Angels! Dolphins! Crescent moon! Far cuter, I think, then the letter charms.

I lost my lyre charm from James Avery. I don't think they make them anymore . I do love JA jewelry.
