Dr. Paul Martin - Phi Delt, The Univ. of Akron
Phi Delta Theta lost a great man yesterday morning. Dr. Paul Martin was a wonderful and generous man who gave so much not only to your fraternity but to Delta Gamma as well. He had an impact on The University of Akron campus and funded many scholarships that went exclusively to members of Phi Delt and Delta Gamma each year. His wife Dorothy was a Delta Gamma and he dedicated several things in her name after she passed several years ago.
He was a great man and I had the pleasure of knowing him personally and benefit from his kindness and generosity during my collegiate years. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. His health had been failing for the past several years (he was in his 90's) and will be missed terribly by many people.
