Okay, I've been looking but I don't think I've seen anyone compare calilicious to miss_e, mustang, etc. That's the vibe I'm getting.
And was perp_burberry that same person too? I need to keep better track of this.

Eh she sends off that vibe but claims a different chapter altogether. Someone from that sorority will have to do the perp-hunt thing to clarify if we want to know.
And I think perpberry was the same, i don't even know anymore.

The story is fake, of course.
But this thread makes me reminisce about the days where you wouldn't have even questioned a story.
This one put an end to that. lol.

There are lots of people who come from successful families and only those who aren't from it go around telling everyone. I mean you don't live in a 6,000 sf California home and be a pool boy you most likely have a college degree so you can't brag to my neighbors how my dad is blah blah blah. I yawn at the extense to show the "all American image", lots of people live a lifestyle of being athetlic and blonde and semi wealthy. Anyways way to much side story. I don't care to hear about her princess life but the opinion of the sororities she visited and her daily rush events.

The parts like se wasn't given a bid because they had to take so many legacies, well I think a chapter would be in a bad state if they were so run by image and alumna donations that they made sure to take a legacy. Who says that every legacy fits her mom's image? This isn't ANTM and only 1 can be picked, if they like you and want you i'm sure there is never a number limit.

I also pointed out there isn't a reason to brag because when you live in a gated subdivision with 6,000 sq ft houses your neighbors obviously are just as successful and my post makes that clear. To should also be too. Blonde is feminine french and that is how I have always spelled it not the American way without the e. If you read any magazine it has the E.

Re: your first point. It's leaning more and more in that direction, isn't it?
Question two: I have no idea on earth about perp_burberry, I had to leave to go buy Ivory Soap after reading some of her (?) posts.

I wanted to know the ending.
It's been a while since I last posted although I have visited a few times recently. My husband died a couple of years ago and as you might imagine, Greek Chat was not at the top of my list of things to do. Now that I'm getting over the numbness, I have returned and have been happy to see that I recognize many names. I just wanted to say that of all the recruitment stories I've read over the years, this is the one I remembered most because it seemed so, well, bizarre.
When I was reading it, I kept thinking, " What a load of ....", and also, "No one is going to believe this, and they'll call her out. Then she'll get mad, and won't finish the story." Sure enough, it happened just as I thought it would. Was I ever sad! I've always wondered about this story and was very upset that she didn't finish it.
So, if you are reading this, twin in pink sequined stockings, please finish your story. Does is matter if few of us believed it? You did an excellent job telling it. You had me, at least, making sure that I read every post. If this really was a true story, you shouldn't be angry that most of us didn't believe it. It did seem a little over the top, and the threats were silly. I, for one, would still love to hear the ending, although after trying to reread your original thread, I think it would be an improvement if you could be more concise. You could even pm it to me. I would be most appreciative because I enjoyed reading about your recruitment "experience" and have been wondering about your mysterious recruitment for long enough.

Joebellesis: While I have never read your posts I send my condolences to you on the loss of your husband. And I agree that sometimes flights of fantasy are a fun read. My issue (serious) is that pnms come here for advice and how tos during recruitment. And yes, sometimes (I believe) that true stories sound off, but sometimes "off" is the truth. But there was something about the pink sequined stockings...........
Cali: As a longtime Californian with ties to the business I am confused: Did you mean the CW network? The management there is headed by a woman and a man from the Tribune family I believe. And, as for gated communities in SoCal, in areas that would lead to a comfortable commute to studios there is only one on the pseudo westwide: in the PO Box. And if you live here you know what I mean. No home there is "only" 6000 square feet, they are much larger. The rest are in the (gasp) VALLEY, and a person, such as yourself would never admit to living there. Oh, sorry, Fremont Place is also gated on the cityside. And, while gorgeous, a family such as your own would NEVER live there.
And, as for the Playboy centerfold mom....we were friendly with a couple with those credentials (not Stanford however). They had two sons.
And no, I am absolutely not stalking/googling information. As I pointed out in my daughter's story, Los Angeles is a small town. The world of show business is smaller still....so....

I have nothing to contribute to this strange thread except my condolences to Jobellesis.
Also, ellebud is cooler than a fan.

Ditto on both counts. It's nice to see you around again Jobellesis, and I'm very sorry for your loss.

The pink sequined rush story did make for really fun reading and, I admit it, I was bummed when the story ended abruptly. Now about that "thing"......

I, too, would like SOMEONE to tell me about that "thing."
I, also, would like someone to put together a "Who's Who of GC Fame" so I can keep all of the trolls, sock puppets, Happy Rainbow Pony People, perps, and other infamous characters of GC Land straight in my over40 mind. (please!)
Lastly, hugs to you Joebellesis.

BRILLIANT! I am not the one to do it, but please, please, will one of the GC super sleuths give us the cast of characters?
