Luau t shirt idea for a phi?
So my chapter is organizing a luau with one of the fraternitys on campus, i was wondering if anyone had any idea of what a cute "slogan" would be since we dont wear letters or anything to do with "alpha phi" or even "aphi" when we drink. like previously we had "phi"esta and such. soo.. any luau t shirt/slogan ideas would be great! thanks

Even though I'm sure *many* GLO's have formal rules against drinking while wearing letters, all of the T-shirts from Greek social events at my campus had fraternity and sorority letters on them, as do many chapters in the south; I guess your campus/chapter may be different.
That being said...I'm not creative at all, but PHI-esta got me thinking about using the word "troPHIcal" (tropical). Good luck!

In my experience, it's not all GLOs; it's most sororities. I know it's been discussed at GC before, but I don't think I know of any fraternity that has a no-drinking-in-letters rule.

I'd recommend talking to your Standards or PR chair and having them check with your Nationals/main council.
I've often seen sororities use their symbols in these type of shirts as well. The Alpha Phi at my school had a luau and they made shirts that had lei's created out of ivy leaves. I thought it was cute.
Good luck!

LOLZ. You might want to inform your alumni of that.

And not every sorority that discourages drinking in letters (informal and unwritten protocol) has formal rules against it. This is where the debates often stem from.

We need a sticky for this like the brothel law. As far as I've gathered from all of these conversations on GC, few if any of us actually have national rules about it.
