greeks in the family

i'm the first one in my family that has went greek, but my little sister is counting down the days untill she is old enough to be a Sig Phi!

I'm the first person in my family who is going greek! (hopefully...if I get into anything.)
It's funny that my parents both went to college and had NO IDEA what a fraternity or sorority was until I explained it. They weren't too social in college, I guess.
It's a big stretch, but my cousin's husband's twin sister was the president of a tri-sigma chapter in texas. My boyfriend is a Lambda Chi Alpha, and his mom was a Gamma Phi Beta.

On my mom's side, I am the only one who is really in a sorority...my mom didn't know what that was...LOL! But I do have a lot of great uncles and great aunts (my granddaddy's brothers and their wives) who are Masons and Eastern Stars.

On my dad's side...it is some greek everywhere!!

I have 1 cousin who is a Zeta (she crossed in 92...OLD SCHOOL!)
2 cousins are Deltas, one cousin is an SGRho and her husband is a Sigma...no AKA's that I know of.

My play-uncle is an Alpha. My boyfriend's cousin is a Kappa...and that is all for now...

I'm the first female greek in my family. Then again, I'm the first female (dad's side) to go to college.

My Grandfather (mom's dad): some fraternity at UPenn that he doesn't support or talk about any more, and a social member of Phi Kappa Tau , Phi Chapter, Bethany College (WV), which he supports and loves with all his heart. He was almost in tears when they won the Maxwell Trophy this year with my brother on exec. (edit! I found out that pop was in Phi Kappa Sigma @ Penn )

My Brother: Phi Kappa Tau, Phi Chapter, Bethany College (WV). Never thought he'd join, but he's been Treasurer for almost 3 years now and he loves it. I'm proud of him. I think his brothers are tremendous.

Me: the best sorority EVER to rock Otterbein...that I can't disclose at this point and time.....and now that this thread has been resurrected after my PX stint, I can disclose that I'm a member of the fabulous house of Tau, that is to say Tau Delta.

I guess if I ever have a nephew he'll be a Phi Tau double legacy and if I get a niece she'll be an Alpha Xi legacy and a legacy of my chapter ( I believe we consider nieces legacy).
