Thanks Spinderella and ladygreek...and everyone else!
Ch2tf...as far as I thought everything was up to par for her...but I am not a part of that org, nor am I greek... She had a 3.0 GPA and involved in many clubs around our campus which allows her to perform community service...
So let's say if she'd done 30 hours of community service and was active in 3 clubs...got that 3.0 GPA... but didn't get accepted...
The org could say 30 hours is not enough...or 3 clubs is not enough...a 3.0 is not high enough. I doubt think they told her why she didn't get it.. but I would be concerned about things like that. Not something that won't really change like the type of person that you are when you are at Rush or wherever (if you aren't acting a certain way for them to 'like you').

Jen,
I think that it could go either way depending on who the person is...
If they got denied the first time and finally made it...they might look at someone who makes it first try and feel like they can look down on them because of not having to go through the experience of proving themselves.
But if one were accepted the first time around...they might look at someone who makes it the first try as if they are of high caliber...
But I think it depends on the type of person he/she is and things of that nature.

Uh...so...aspiringchica...long story short, we don't know whether you will ever get accepted. Rejection happens for a reason. Take that however you choose.

@ DrPhil
This question really was not for me...! I have not tried to go through with any part of any process yet... I am nervous as heck even thinking about it...
One of my roomies and I are actually interested in the same org, while another is interested in something different.
Thanks everyone again for responses =] I am appreciative!

What is the point of the original question? Whenever any transaction happens, the circumstances are unique therefore, the same transaction happening at a different time has different circumstances and could potentially have a different outcome. Move on to more meaningful questions like "What tone and message will President Obama convey in his SoTU address tomorrow night and will it make a difference?"
