One of my good friend's mother passed away early this morning. She had been battling cancer for a while and he had went on a leave of absence early in the semester to spend time with her. I really wish I could be there for him right now in person.

I'm sorry luna. I'll add his family to my prayer list.
My dad saw a pulmonologist on Thursday and his lungs are fine, which is good. (Especially since he started smoking at age 9 was a 3 pack a day smoker as an adult).
He had his cardiac catheterization yesterday. One of the stents that they had put in back in 1990 or 1991 had collapsed so they replaced that one. They found a new blockage in an anterior artery and cleared that one and put a new stent in. They want to evaluate him in 3 months for a pace maker because of his hypertrophic cardiomyopathy since it can lead to irregular heartbeats.
His original cardiologist back in the late 80s/early 90s was a pioneer in his field and was one of the first doing the stents. They are just finding out now how long those first stents last! I was off on the number of years since his heart attack. It was in 1988 so that would be 24 years. Time flies!

Please pray for Brenda - just diagnosed with breast cancer.
I'd also appreciate any and all support for my full-time application. I cannot tell you what a relief it would be to have full-time employment. It's with my current college, which I love, so fingers crossed!

Had someone look at the house today. The realtor's contract expires on Monday.
Prayers would be MUCH APPRECIATED!
Haven't heard anything from this afternoon..don't think that is a good sign.

Please keep an old friend and teammate in your prayers. Her soon to be father in law passed away from West Nile virus last night. The wedding is in two weeks She's been through so much with the death of her father when she was young and her mother having a stroke in high school. It breaks my heart to see her go through something like this during such an otherwise happy time.

Praying for all who need it!
One of my friends is in really bad shape right now. He passed out on Thursday and started having subcortical seizures. Long story short, his brain is swelling and doesn't have the oxygen it needs. Please pray for him. He's only 21, and no one should have to go like this.

My friend will receive a living donor liver transplant on Oct. 29. His sister will be donating a portion of her her liver. Please keep them both in your prayers. His wife is my sorority sister, and they are dear friends.

Hope, prayers, and positive thoughts to all above!
So my husband and I are 99% sure his transfer request to move back home to NC is going to be approved (both his boss, and his boss's boss both said they will sign off on it, and have known that we've wanted to do this for a while). While I'm very happy to move back, I will not be able to transfer my current job (well...I'm pretty positive that I can't, but don't think that I won't ask!).
I put in for a job that I would be PERFECT for and qualified for, and it's in the place and environment I've always wanted to work in! Please just put positive thoughts and prayers out there for me that I get this job!
