For some reason, I thought that there was talk of Bailey's man being a lead in a spin-off...
ETA: Found it, but this link provides more info on the show, kind of.

Wow. Just wow. That was almost as good as the bomb episode. When they decide to turn it on, they do an amazing job. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe. Bailey was incredible. April's acting was incredible. I managed not to cry until the OR scene when Meredith was operating. Totally lost it then.. totally. Loved the scene with the chief and the shooter. Bailey.. wow.. what an actress. Emmy for her.. has to be an Emmy for her.

I cried. And cried. And cried. And cried. Except every five minutes there was a commercial break so I'd stop crying only to start again after the commercial break. Very frustrating.
Wonderful, wonderful episode though. Bailey was great, love Lexie/Karev and Owen/Teddy interactions.

I'm trying so hard not to say too much before all coasts can see it, but it's so hard! With the big Owen scene in the OR, I kept thinking "Come on.. you were McRambo! DO something!"

I know! I kept waiting for him to do something and then I was like "wait are you really not going to do anything?!"

What made me so impressed with the acting was that, many times, there were few words spoken but a whole lot communicated. That was incredible. The scene when Hunt was getting ready to go into the OR and was talking to Meredith in the hallway. You knew from his face that something was going on. There were looks and glances between actors/actresses that said volumes. So very well done. THIS is why I love this show. I know they can't all be this good, but when they knock out one of these, it's just incredible.

I will say this: I thank GOD that they didn't end it on a cliffhanger like last year. That may have pushed me over the edge.
Episodes like this are why I love Grey's. And can I request Emmys for Ellen Pompeo, Chandra Wilson (PLEASE?), the guy who plays Owen, and Sandra Oh? They all gave AMAZING performances tonight. I screamed a few times.

10 minutes in I was in ecstasy
18 minutes in I had heart failure
36 minutes in I was tearing up
65 minutes in I was hyperventilating
88 minutes in I was crying and hyperventilating
It's now 4 minutes past the end and I am completely and totally spent.
That was one heck of a ride. The emotions wer OFF THE CHAIN. I didn't know what to feel half the time and, the other half, I was just feeling everything all at once. Lots of screaming. I should NEVER have tried to flat iron my hair while watching. I'm absolutely ashamed of how many burns I have, that was so stupid.....
*Alex and Lexie.....with Mark looking on? So heartbreaking.
*Hunt and Cristina in the OR broke me gave me heart failure #3 or #4, I don't remember.....
*Remember "Dream a Little Dream of Me?" The Season 5 premiere? That's where Meredith in the OR brought me.
*I thought Mandy Moore did very well but I'm glad they didn't focus on her too much.
*Chandra Wilson, if you don't get an Emmy, I swear.... In fact, I need a little statue man to be overnighted to each cast member's personal address and it better be there by 9am. That is all.

^^^Yes, all those times are accurate. Everytime something huge happened, I checked what time it was to see how much more was gonna happen. That's how I know all the minutes.

I found myself wondering some stuff.. like, did Bailey know that one person was dead when the dying one said to tell her that he loved her? I couldn't remember. I'm going to end up re-watching this. I think there were times when it was so intense that I didn't notice details.

No, she didn't know. At the end, Bailey was asking the policewoman to go find her (I think) so she must not have known she was dead.
I've got the ep on the DVR and I know I'm gonna watch it again. There will probably be things I missed the first time. And I'm still nursing my burns--never try to eat hot chili and watching a gripping show at the same time.
