Would you open your mate's mail?

since i am the one that handles the finances for our home, i open all bills. this is something that we discussed and agreed upon. things from his mom i don't open and i remember a time that i didn't open he's grades. i think a something like this depends on the type of relationship that you have with your mate.

I'm with my Frat brother SWAMP on this one. Personal mail should not be opened by one's mate unless it is agreed upon.

I agree with everyone who says opening bills and other mail related to the house is fair game. But personal mail is personal. Marriage is base on trust and your mate will tell you what the letter is about.

I started to say yes, & I don't see what the problem is, but the more I think about it, it's about respect.

If it's bills, then fine, yes we open the mail no matter who it's addressed to. But, if my husband began opening personal mail, like letters from my friends, then I'd be offended, and vice verse.

If you have Nothing to hide I don't see what's the problem. My husband and I open one anothers mail without hesitation. It is no big deal.
