Weird observations:
There are 2 Philly-related stories going on at the same time (one with a PhillyGirl username and another taking place in Philly).
That they have the colored-in code names, just like eaglesbaby (who I think was named that b/c she liked the Philly Eagles).
Not trying to be a conspiracy theorist or anything, this is all just very odd.

KSUViolet, I'll ride the conspiracy theorist bandwagon all around Philadelphia with you - I'm glad you had the balls to call her out on it.
Could someone please clarify something about this story for me though. Never having gone through sorority recruitment myself, I was under the impression that you were sort of given to a sister as you walked in the door and bumped around to other sisters while at the party. I assumed that you wouldn't even have the option of being so rude as to hide behind the snack table because you would be "forced" to talk to someone. What's the deal?

Sort of what I was thinking.
I know that every school is different, but generally, sorority members are paired off with PNMs and and that sister will eventually pair the PNM with another sister, and so on, so there's no really opportunity to go "sit back by the snac bar and ignore everyone." You're always talking to someone.
And to be honest, I doubt that a room full of sorority members isn't going to notice them doing so and attempt to engage them in conversation.

As someone who lives in the Philly 'burbs - I noticed this too, but just thought that was me being a consipirist...
Also, while Villanova isn't in Philly "proper" -- its pretty close and it and has 9 sororities.

As does Delaware. However, both have deferred recruitment. The OP implies a fall formal recruitment.

I completely agree with you! I was excited when I saw a new recruitment thread (this one), slightly disappointed when I came to the realization that this one would never finish, and then EXTREMELY skeptical when another Philadelphia recruitment thread came out. I WANT to believe that these two stories, especially the beach one which is still looking like it's going to continue, are real...but with recent events (eaglesbaby), I can't help but be doubtful. I hope I'm proven wrong!
And yes, the whole thing with TWO Philadelphia storys and eaglesbaby = Philadelphia Eagles, too much of a coincidence.

I share your thoughts. Let's let all these girls (personalities) finish through and actually declare themselves to be members of our organizations. Then we can make the appropriate verifications and declare who is real and who is a perp.
By all means, eaglesbaby(ies), continue.

Darn it, now I'll never be able to tell my Philadelphia-area rush story, but it could all fit in one post on the Weird Rush Stories thread, its real home.

Instead of theorizing, I consider the fact that the OP has not returned to continue or defend her story as the equivalent of admitting it's fiction. Unfortunately I think anyone looking to post a legitimate Philly story will need to wait a while (or simply not give any clues as to the location of the school).
In response to another topic, it is common practice on my campus that the Sororities have food during every round. Preference is the only one where we serve anything substantial (usually breakfast food, coffee cake, etc. because it's in the morning); but, all parties at least have some sort of snacks or fruit available.

I'm a Philly native and in an NPHC org and knew where she went to school from the moment she posted her major as fashion merchandising. Didn't even need to look anything up...lol

I don't think I've ever figured out any school in any recruitment story, and even I knew this one after an educated guess and a few clicks through Google to confirm.
Anyway, I think she's been scared off indefinitely.

Hi everyone!
Since I didn't really do a good job with concealing the identity of my school, I've decided to not continue with it in hopes of not offending anyone at my school. Its not cause this story is fiction, thats silly. I did go through recruitment and I've been in my organization for two years strong. I feel it would not be very Panhellenic for me to talk about what I didn't enjoy about the other four organizations on campus.
But thanks for the interest everyone!
