So glad Jeanine won. She's been my favorite the 2nd half of the season.
I never liked Brandon. Yes, he's a good dancer, but as I said in the beginning, I was with Mia, something about him just bugged me. I think it's that he reminded me of Carlton from Fresh Prince and it just annoyed the heck out of me.

good episode.. it really contrasted the evolution of the show since season 1.. I still think that Jamile and Destini's hop hop routine is the best hip hop routine ever on the show across all seasons so I was glad that it got showcased...
The only dance that I didnt like that was shown was Lauren and Pasha's transformer routine..it was ok but not outstanding i would have preferred Sara and Pasha's West Coast Swing.
And Nigel's favorite routine ever was Ade and Melissa's breast cancer dance..

I loved that last night! I had forgotten some of those dances - my favorite was the Mia Michaels dance with Katy and ? (the winner last year) with the assisted running move. So pretty!
Also, Benjy and his cousin are better at the mambo than ANYbody since - it's not even fair!!

I agreed with a lot of the routines that were chosen. I was shocked that the Mercy/Door routine (with Katie and Twitch) wasn't one of the ones chosen...and I also could have done without Pasha and Lauren's Transformer routine, as well as Ivan and Allison's contemporary. I think they tried to highlight the majority of the choreographers and pick most of the Emmy nominated/winning routines.

They're overplaying a few of those dances. The bench dance is great, but come on, they show it all the time....and the hummingbird and flower dance, too. And I don't really care for the Transformer dance, either.
I was so excited to see Nick and Melody's Broadway!!! That's one of my all-time faves!!! Along with Ivan and Allison's contemporary!

I really liked the breakdancer they highlighed at the end.
I'm sure that they get thousands of contemporary auditions, but I wish they'd vary the styles that are shown. I get sick of watching 10 contemporary people and only one or two people in a different style. After a while, I'd rather see a mediocre ballroom couple or hip hopper than a contemporary.

I agree! After last season, which to me was the season of the contemporary dancer, I'd like to see some other genres highlighted.
