Stepping

While its pretty obvious that traditionally it isn't something Sinfonians are known for doing but as of late (last 2 or 3yrs) I've noticed more and more vids popping up of Sinfonians stepping and strolling. I was wondering how do you guys feel about stepping or have your chapters ever participated..My chapter does step but its pretty much a once in a while thing...stepping takes a backseat to the music and other more important frat business

Stepping

Greetings,

I think that this will up to the individual chapter and their own culture. This changes throughout the US. For example, I've heard of some chapters that recruit only music majors into Phi Mu Alpha. Other chapters recruit majors from all over the university. Some guys are members of their local IFC while others aren't. Some guys have their own Fraternity House while others stash away their belongings in a chapter suite or someone's apartment. At the end of the day it boils down to whatever you guys feel comfortable doing so as long as it's in the good spirit of the fraternity. Stepping can be a huge social initiative and brother building exercise, thus, have some merit.

Fraternal Regards,
