Saw a girl I went to college with on this episode. Apparently she is Melissa's cousin. She was also a DG at WVU. Pretty random and definitely did a double take when I saw her!

I don't care for Teresa but Melissa? Oh my goodness. She's even more irritating than Teresa has ever been. My impression of her from the first episode is that she's the type to instigate trouble but stand on the sidelines casting blame on everyone else and claim it wasn't her that started it. Bitch. Ugh.
I will agree with Jay's blog in his defense of Joe Guidice (sp?). I don't see anything wrong with a man taking care of his family by making pizzas so for Melissa & her idiot husband to mock him for that is beyond stupid.
Also, it does seem like Teresa & Melissa are competitive with each other for who has the biggest & ostentatious house, biggest & best parties, biggest hair, etc. Lol!

Am I the only one who thinks that Theresa's Bro has a "wahhhhmbulance because Daddy loves Sister and Brother-In-Law more than me!!!" thing going on?
I seriously think that's the crux of this whole thing (and Melissa just doesn't HELP it by egging it on.)
Sidenote: I would feel like a terrible person if I started a huge thing after which my elderly parents were near heart attacks and children were hyperventilating.

I agree with you about Teresa's brother. He's such a jackass. Also, I have to say that if I yelled at my mom the way her brother yelled at his parents, I'd have the shit kicked out of my by everyone in my family.

I didn't really understand the first episode.
After last night, some comments...
Interesting that the cool/in girls (Teresa, Caroline, Jacqueline) are sort of the outsiders compared to Melissa and Kathy who command a lot of attention.
Kathy going up to Teresa was solely to cause trouble, but otherwise I haven't seen anything bad about her.
Kim G just sucks up to whoever is around her or whoever she thinks is cool/in.
Melissa it seems came on the show ready to take charge and be the hottest, but you can only act the way that everyone lets you act.
I don't understand why there is hostility between Teresa and her brother.
Teresa is actually a very real person, and you don't see her complaining about her money troubles, so good for her for keeping her head high.
Ashley needs to grow up.

The problem (or one of the problems) between Teresa and her brother is as old as time: perceived or real favoritism by their parents toward Teresa and her husband.

Joe Gorga disgusts me. The way he kept making the sexual references on the show was gross as was his "subtle" way of trying to talk Melissa into having sex all the time. My favorite was when he came home & wouldn't talk to her b/c he was pissed she didn't have sex with him the night before. Seriously?!? 
I also wanted so badly to punch Ashley in the face for her immaturity. Oh boo freaking hoo! Cry me a river! She bitches & whines all the time about EVERYTHING including her broken home background. Sorry but coming from a broken home does not give the your right to act like a spoiled whiny brat. I can't stand her! Jacqueline & Chris need to stop coddling her & throw her ass out into the real world.

But I WAAANT an apartment in New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wake up ThaAAT early and go to a dream internship (that she never would have gotten unless her family was on tv).
And as for Joe......short men seem to have a lot to "prove"...on television. (LOVE the scarf around his head.......)
