I have just one question. With all the fraternities at Alabama why did you pick out Sigma Chi? I am sure they are very good at Bama but there are lots of others as well. Are you a legacy or is that the only fraternity you have ever heard about. If you are truly interested in a fraternity at Alabama then my advice is just see what happens cos' probably nobody here will be at any of the rush events. There is no way we can tell you if Sigma Chi will accept a 24 year old. I doubt they will consider you if you are tatted up and have bolts in your face but I don't know Sigma Chi there so that would just be my thoughts. If you are a decent bloke all may work out well.
Fraternities are not for everyone and everyone is not for a fraternity.

I'm pretty sure that this statement is a lie. You are an Alpha Phi Alpha with dreadlocks, right?
Sigma Chi's Iota Iota chapter wouldn't recruit a member of another social fraternity.

And I'm pretty sure that while you're so busy post-stalking me, you could also have picked up on my sense of humor.
But thanks for making me the subject of your very first post under this particular user name.

I try not to respond to these types.
... sigmachi at UBama is 2b and if you're in-state you've got a 50/50, if I had a guess.

bama24,
Not going to lie to you. Your age might be a detriment. Only someone who is actually a Sigma Chi at Bama can tell you for sure. Ideally, Sigma Chi is supposed to judge potential members by the Jordan Standard:
We admit no man to membership who is not believed to be:
A man of good character
A student of fair ability
With ambitious purposes
A congenial disposition
Possessed of good morals
Having a high sense of honor and
A deep sense of personal responsibilty.
Only the members at Bama, who are meeting you, can actually judge you by these standards.

As a 24 year old pledge, your pledge brothers will all be 5-6 years younger than you.
The seniors will all be 2-3 years younger than you.
You should be able to realize the answer yourself.

I want to apologize for being such an asshole on here yesterday. I didn’t mean for it to come across so hateful/disrespectful/cocky or however you want to classify it. I just took some things out of perspective…. sorry again and thanks for replying to my thread.
