Philly had no offense. None whatsoever, the only player they bought was Roenick.

I'm still around - I can't believe Montreal lost to Carolina - what was it 5-1. At least we are guranteed one canadian team in the eastern conference final. Of course I've disappeared a bit from this topic simply, even though I am fully supporting Ottawa and Montreal, it just isn't the same or as exciting with the Canucks.
I've been following other news in the Canuck world - I hope the Liberals pass that piece of legislation to do with cutting property taxes and adding on out of towner taxes so the team is desirable for a local buyer...

philly had offense, just absolutely no team chemistry...7 centres on a team where everyone hates eachother.
That game was brutal last night, stupid Persson - you F*&%ing suck, taking a dumb penalty like that.

Figures that you'd argue with me...my point was, that on paper, Philly appears to have well-knowns just like Detroit. However, they can't make those players into a winning line-up.
I hope Carolina wins tonight...I was disappointed that the Sens didn't finish off Toronto last night, but hey, more hockey!

Philly was a joke this year. Maybe if they buy hull, robitaille, and skin someone on a trade for a hasek like goalie, philly would be taken seriously. The only other team that even come close to approaching the wings in terms of "buying" is Colorado. Dallas, St. Louis, and Philly are just pretenders in that department.
I would like to see a team like Carolina or Ottawa win it all. Especially Carolina, I think it is hilarious that they are doing as good as they have been. And I just cannot stop saying "first confrerence final since 1998"

Go Carolina....I hope they win the east though they don't have the talent that either Toronto or Ottawa have.
I am watching the avs-sharks game right now....great great game.

so what do I know??
So much for Montreal advancing. I guess if your getting outshot 4 to 1, you goaltender can only carry you for so long. I'm impressed with the Leafs. Guys keep dropping like flies, and yet they still find a way to win. I saw a close-up of Tie Domi's face the other night. I hope the other guys look as bad!!
Can San Jose beat Detroit? You have to think that the age of the Detroit star players is going to catch up with them sooner or later.
It's been a good tournament so far.

What the hell does that mean? Toronto wouldn't have won the game if it wasn't for that penalty, it was a stupid move (not intentional) and he got penalized for it that changed the momemtum of the game.
Three out of the possible 4 conference finalists will be reaching that mark for the first time in their history (modern history for ottawa). I'd really like to see an Ottawa-S.J. final, doubt it's gonna happen. The best we can hope for is that s.j. pulls out a win, and takes the wings' star players to the cleaners.

I think it's still anyone's chance on the East. As much as I've wanted Carolina to win, I didn't think they'd beat Montreal, and they did. If they keep playing the way they are, I think they have a very good chance against Ottawa or Toronto.
On the West, I'd be nice for the Sharks to advance since they've never made it to the Western Conference Finals, but I don't really care who the Wings play. When is the Avs/Sharks game seven?

Crap. Crap, crap, crap, crap. Ack, I can't believe Montreal is out. My takes on TO and Ottawa - the Sens for sure, TO is way too injured. And in the west I really want to see the Sharks win.
