I was just thinking about this the other day. I'm only 24, but I remember, I dunno, I feel like my parents were not as concerned about someone kidnapping us from the yard as parents are today.
Example: I was babysitting my 5 year old god-daughter, the other day and it was surprisingly pretty nice out for this time of year (like 50ish and not snowing). She was complaining about being bored, so I suggeted, "Why don't you go ride your bike?"
She seriously looked at me as if I had suggested that she go cartwheeling down the middle of the freeway or something equally crazy and dangerous.
I remember my parents would let us walk to the store (like 3 blocks away and past a major street) at night with no problems (as long as there were like 3 of us). Weird. I guess times have changed.

When we were younger, my brother was obsessed with Cookie Crisp. I never understood.

Hmmmm Back in the Day...
As a child: I had the Barbie Townhouse with the Elevator, the corvette and a full barage of Barbies where I cut their hair. I also had the black version of the "Sunshine Family"... And I took my brother's large GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip...
I was able to watch "Battle of the Planets" and "Starblazers" two Animes that got me loving Manga...
As a teen: I still watched all kinds of Cartoons. Mainly Anime. I was into art, science, dance, and pretty much partying... I could do that well... In fact had 2 raves where the police with a helicopter shut it down.
I was into music, with the reel to reel. Did not get into too much TV editing. I learned on the TRS (trash) 80... And the internet communications did not happen until my Freshman year in college on a Commodore 64. Could have learned programming at a very early age, but that machine language and the hexadecimal processing pissed me off... I know some things in Fortran...
Hey, if I knew back then, what I know now, I would be a billionaire...
Interesting how life has its twists and turns...

It's so sad. I started to sing this song before a chapter meeting last semester, and everyone turned to me and asked "What was that?" No one had heard the song, and no one had a clue as to what Lamb Chop's was.
I'm getting old

How could anyone not know who lamb chop is? My 14 year old cousin knows lambchop (well that is because she used to looove The Nanny, and Lamb chop was a "guest star" once).
I remember on our 4th grade trip to Midland, we sang "the song that never ends" pretty much the whole way there! lol.

Lambchop was definitely a girl!
ETA: At least she was a girl when her & Sheri Lewis guest starred on The Nanny.

It's Lamb Chop's underwear, a special pair that you can wear without a care!

AST, I think you, GammaPhi88 and I are all about the same age... maybe we're the last ones with decent memories? My younger brother and sister watched too, but they may not remember Lamb Chop as well.
