ETA: OK, maybe we're talking about different things. I'm thinking Hammer pants when I see that. I hope it's something different LOL

Ok....slang words anyone?
"Dope"
"Ice"
"Fresh...."
all variants of "Cool"
I am looking for a skit Mad TV did back in the day that broke down the word "Cool"

I was thinking more of the material than the style. They made them in all styles. Also, this is definitely junior high 1999-2001, but the two-in-one pants shorts combo were big. As we're and I shutter to say I ever put them on my body, cargo shorts.

OK, I remember the pants/shorts combos. I didn't think of those as "parachute" pants, though. I put those in the "track pants" category.
And yes, I also fell victim to the cargo pants/shorts trend *le sigh*

Oooooh the raver pants! I had two pair of those in college..... didn't wear them often but they were soooooooo comfortable. And yes, it felt like a parachute without being MC Hammer pants.

I had a couple of pairs of those parachute pants, but they weren't as wide.
And they were cream colored. Why was THAT a good idea?

Are those the big silver earrings that you would engrave with your initials?
My sisters wore those in college, but I was never into silver then.
