I watched part of the interview with Ann Curry, and this woman just seems unstable to me. I can't figure out why, but watching her and listening to her made me think of those women who go crazy and drown their kids in the bathtub.

Also, our local news did an interview with Jennifer Hanselman (mother of sextuplets) about this woman, and she said basically the same thing -that this woman was completely out of touch with reality (thinking she is going back to school with 14 kids) and that her psychological stability needed to be evaluated.

Wow. I love that Jennifer Hanselman said that. I love strong women who aren't afraid to voice their opinions. Especially when I agree with them.

i am home sick today, so watched the curry interview on the today show. from the looks of it, nadya suleman has had quite a bit of plastic surgery-at least on her face. combine that with the need to "not feel isolated", to have numerous babies and the schizophrenic way she answered those interview questions and talked to her babies, and it appears to me someone majorly unstable and insecure and unsuitable to be the caregiver of her children.

In the previews I watched, Curry says that the kids were all conceived via a donor.

I thought it was really weird when Curry also says, "Suleman says that the octuplet's biological father is quite overwhelmed by the birth, but she says she hopes that he'll be able to be a father to them someday."

That confuses me. So is he just a donor, and that's it? Or is this someone she has an actual relationship (friendship or otherwise) with?

He was apparently her ex-boyfriend who agreed to be the sperm donor. He wanted to get married but, according to the equally crazy mom, she didn't want to get married.

I saw this via a Yahoo story and found this to be very interesting.

And this chick needs to stop making only children like me look bad. I never wanted to have a bunch of kids with no husband and no job.

I seriously think this lady is crazy.

I saw an interview with her and they asked her 'how are you going to do this? You have no job and you live with your mom. How will you feed your children?"

And her response was something to the effect of "I really think God will help us find a way to make it work out".. that = food stamps?!

And then they asked her "why did you do this? You already have 6 children" And her response was "I really didn't think it would take" (the in vitro)

WTF?

Doesn't In Vitro cost a crapload of $$$? And would you REALLY be doing all that thinking "it's not going to work?" I realize that In Vitro doesn't work for everyone, but wouldn't you go into the process prepared to have kids?

Maybe she's hoping to get a free Minivan from Ford and a lifetime supply of Pampers.?

I was thinking the exact same thing....

Supposedly, she needed In Vitro to have all her kids, and she lives at home with her parents? How did she pay for this? And did any doctors examine her mental state? This is such a weird story...

Or a free home like that one septuplet family got (I think they're the McCaughey's).

Perez, like him or not, always gets the juicy gossip... I love the feeding in shifts, mom WON'T work, clothes all over the house, FOOD all over the walls...
I can't stand Perez. All of the stuff he mentions is from the radaronline article posted above. Either way, I wonder about this woman's mental status, and I'm glad that the CA medical board is looking into this whole situation.

I would imagine since all of her kids were conceived via IVF that she had no reason to believe that this time "it wouldn't work."

BTW, she is already on food stamps and receives disability benefits for three of her older kids...
