On the other hand...so many people who wanted this book were 'comic tourists' as well as traditional collectors.
Now what will be really cool is to be able to get that comic autographed by the artists and / or writer of that comic like some did yesterday.
Thankfully tho, this comic won't break the comic industry the same way that Superman may have done in the 90's.

Yeah but it wasn't just Superman dieing that killed comic books. Him coming back as four different people, even the mullet-corpse, was just too much.
Also, Marvel screwed up too by having spider-man be just a clone of the real peter parker, who was still in a lab, and then broke out.
And the X-Men got all inbred with each other.

Euuhh...yeah...thanks for reminding me,
Oh trust me, I agree that Superman wasn't the only thing that nearly killed comics in the 90s.
It was a rather big nail not to mention that there were so many other factors and so many gimmicks that the companies tried also.
I think and I know I am not 100% right, one thing that is partially saving the industry now is the plethora of comic movies that have been released in the past few years especially since now producers have finally been able to use CGI to really tell their stories...
BTW...stay away from The Spirit.

This made me chuckle.
The plot involves a pesky imposter at Obama’s historic inauguration.
In the Spiderman/Obama story, after Spidey saves the day, the real Obama gives him a fist bump.

I really wanted the "Last Son of Krypton" to be the real Superman.

Each of the Supermen were designed with ideas taken from some of the monikers that Superman is often associated with. The four new heroes were: - The Man of Steel: John Henry Irons was an ironworker and ex-weapons designer for the military who wears a suit of armor and wields a hammer. He did not claim to actually be Superman, but rather to represent the spirit of Superman and continue his legacy. Steel appeared in Superman: The Man of Steel starting with #22. He later changed his name to just "Steel".
- The Man of Tomorrow, also called the Cyborg Superman, arrived with augmented Kryptonian technology. He was scientifically proven to be Superman, but claims amnesia in explanation to his part-mechanical nature. The Cyborg Superman appeared in Superman (vol. 2) starting with #78. He later became a major supervillain.
- The Metropolis Kid, who hated being called Superboy, is a reckless teenage clone of Superman. This Superman appeared in the Adventures of Superman starting with #501. He is the result of the brief time Cadmus attempted to clone Superman. He later had a career as Superboy.
- The Last Son of Krypton was a visored, energy-powered alien who dealt with criminals lethally. The Last Son of Krypton appeared in Action Comics starting with #687. He claims to have the memories of the original Superman, but his emotional distance makes Lois uncertain. He later was discovered to be the Eradicator, a reformed Superman enemy.[3]

Oh Ok..now I remember, and I really hated the way that DC butchered that whole run, I hated the Superman mullet and the fact they tried to steal the black suit idea that Marvel made famous with Spider-man but most of all I am mad that Shaq made that horrid movie, Steel.
