Alumni of Iowa State College Sigma Nu Fraternity and their spouses standing in front of the fraternity house at 905 Douglas Avenue. The house had been the residence of George G. and Lydia C. Tilden and their children. In 1904 it became the house for the Sigma Nu chapter which had just formed at Iowa State. This photo was taken around 1913. Galen Tilden (son of George and Lydia) is the third from the left in the second row and his wife Ina is the fourth from the left in the same row.

After seeing many of the pictures from each of the chapters, this girl's pose was probably planned. When I have time, I'll scan others from 1971.

I scanned a load of pictures from the 1939-1940 UCLA yearbook. The two Greek Life division pages are below, and the link at the bottom will take you to a place where you can access each sorority's individual page, including some groups that no longer exist or were absorbed by other nationals and a Japanese-American sorority that still exists at UCLA today.

Photo is of the Women's Panhellenic Association at OSU in 1964. The bottom picture includes Bobby Katz, who went on to become the National President for Sigma Delta Tau for 4 years in the 80s.

What I find interesting about the UCLA pictures are the number of sororities at the time that had no inactive chapters.
