Rushing a Recolonizing Chapter

If you do a view all posts, your first post was about Alpha Xi's recolonizing of their Kappa Chapter. You mentioned in another thread that you attend UIUC.

I know as a guy, we've also got long memories. If my chapter was deactivated, although I would probably still retain alumnus status, I'd be royally angry about what the actives did, and I'd do everything I could to ensure that they were the ones punished, not new pledges. I've got a good memory when it comes to things like that.

That said, if you recolonize, expect a lot of alumni support, but also some intervention, because they will want to be sure you don't mess up again. Some chapters get their charters yanked over simple keg parties or a DUI. Be aware that some alumnus members may be super-protective of the new group.
