Yes, but they never left. The dean of students wrongly tossed the chapter and damaged its reputation. AH alumni sued the university and won complete exoneration; the court brushed aside the school's objections and ordered the chapter reistated immediately. Typical arrogant, bullying administrators. AH alumni haven't decided if they're going to sue for damages.
That said, the chapter has a president but only a handful of memebrs left, and may participate nominally in fall rush. Finances have forced them to rent their house to the TKEs for next year. Alumni want to rebuild the chapter to over 100 men and eliminate the behavior that got them into trouble to begin with. This is one of the Fraternity's greatest chapters, but idiots have spoiled it for the whole group in the past.
So...yes, AH is still there, in a placeholding configuration. Alumni like Ernie Cox will decide don the next move.
