I may see the movie because Christian Bale is a badass, but that is quite enough of this comic book garbage. This is a Greek website, not the star wars lair or Fark.

Take your ass out of this thread then.

You can start another thread on any of those subject CB.
But this is not a thread about those topics.
In case you missed it: Entertainment >Batman-The Dark Knight.

... WOW. It was long. I really had to pee. But I was NOT moving from my seat. Except for the dozen or so moments when I flew out of it from the loud 'stun' music/shots.
Let's just say, as hard as I tried, I could not see Heath Ledger through the character. There was truly a psychopath on screen. Job well done!
And just for the record ... Christian Bale - DELICIOUS.

CrackerBarrels going to be the biggest dork about this movie after he sees it.
It's like my father when he didn't want to see Lion King years ago. He loved it so much that he had to stay until the credits went off. "Wait! I want to see who did the voice of Mfufu!!!" (there was no Mfufu, just saying....)

We just watched 3:10 to Yuma the other night, Christian was looking scruffylicious in that one, I look forward to enjoying the cleaned-up version of him in this movie.
I've never been a comics book kind of girl either, but I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal (who I LOVE and I'm so glad she's in this movie instead of Katie Holmes) made an interesting point about her learned appreciation of comics since doing the movie on The Daily Show last night. She talked about how they really involve imagination and she commented on the storyline complexity, too.
Here's a link to her segment last night: http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/in...gie-gyllenhaal

I saw it yesterday with husband and sons, WOW! It was incredible. I still get chills thinking of how creepy the Joker was. What freaked me out was that he truly seemed like a psychopath, not a "cartoon character". It was so well acted and believable. The evil vibes were just oozing out of the screen. I know I'm waxing poetic, but it really affected me, so many deep feelings and emotions.
How about when Dent and Rachel are speaking on the phones with the bombs set to go off (no more or it would be spoilerish), the sadness is palpable. I LOVED IT!!
I also think Heath Ledger deserves the Oscar. I was totally against it when I heard the buzz thinking that it was sensationalistic, but his portrayal is so totally believable and scary, he got the pathos of the character totally right. Christian Bale was amazing too, unfortunately, he is overshadowed by the performance of Ledger.

I agree....I kept wanting scenes with the Joker and didn't really care about Batman at one point during the film! I couldn't tell it was Ledger, I mean I knew it was him...but he became The Joker, and it had almost no reflection of him or other roles he had done.
