OK...quick update: I didn't hear anything from my daughter until 11:30 last night. That's right...for basically 2 days, the party schedule she has gotten does not allow her enough time to get back to the dorm to call, much less eat. Needless to say, she is very tired! Yesterday was skit day...4 parties, she went back to 3 that she really likes, one that she hasn't really warmed up to. She seemed very happy! There were lots of cuts (several direct legacies that I heard of), lots of broken hearts yesterday, including my daughter's to some degree. I'm sure there were deeper cuts last night, and there will be more broken hearts today. Now, they go back after lunch today to get Pref invitations. They have to stay until they finish their last party which could be early, middle afternoon or 8 tonight. Keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, do a good luck dance, and send me some cyber valium  The waiting is killing me! I'll send updates as I hear.

well if you want to keep track of a few more from my daughter's school her friends that went to USM with her ... 1 went Phi Mu, 1 went Chi O, 1 went DG and 1 went KD (one dropped out after the skit parties when she was cut from the couple she wanted)

Lamplighter...Congrats so far to your daughter! Mine went to six parties today and could see herself in any of them! She was a little disappointed, but time still moved on. I'm waiting to hear from her around 7. I'm jealous! Your daughter's rush seems shorter than UA's. I know it still seems like forever!!!

FINAL RESULTS
Sorry to be so long posting...and I'll post more tomorrow, but....after a very long week....she got the one that she started the week saying she loved....she's now a little owl at MS State! All you folks that went through AL and AUB rush...State's was just about the same #'s comparitavely..over 600 girls for 6 sororities. Quota was almost the same as
Alabama's.
Glad it's over...more glad she's happy!

Lamplighter, Never meant it wasn't as competitive at all. It's crazy and stressful no matter where one goes through recruitment! I was truly jealous of what appeared to be a shorter rush. Sorry if I offended you.

OMG! No! You didn't offend me at all! I was just making the point that the numbers for both schools were similar. Every rush is stressful, even when I went through years ago! I had some girls I was tracking going through Alabama's and Auburn's recruitment, and I was just as stressed for them...and their mothers. I'm just glad it's over and most all of them are happy.
Even if Rush is only 3 days, it seems like 3 years

One of my best friends just called me...
She is now an Alpha Omicron Pi at a rather large and competitive university! I know I never said anything about it, but I thought I'd let all you AOPi's know you have an AMAZING new sister! (Oh, and she was a legacy too... but I never knew that!  )
