I think Soror Wendi will be there. You know she's always up for a meet and greet.

I would have left tomorrow on my mom's B-day. We'll be here together. She's on her way here now. We'll have to represent with the PnG. I know I will definately represent at work all next week.

Travel safely, Sorors!!!!!

Just wanted to pop in and give some Phirst Pham love to all the sorors in here....just dropped my wife off at the airport 5:00 AM today for her to catch a 6:30 flight to DC from Chicago. Since she was made (grad) in '07, this will be her first....it's actually at the same hotel we had ours back in '06.

I guess I should have posted this earlier. You can witness the rest of the Public Meeting live today. Right now, we are viewing a documentary with Soror Phylicia Rashad as the narrator.

BTW, Sheryl Underwood is on the dais representing Zeta as their GB.

I figured out it's because I'm not using IE, but Firefox (most likely). I don't even think I have IE on my computer anymore.

Who said they were just celebrating in DC? Saturday's news:

http://www.philly.com/dailynews/loca...ppa_Alpha.html

A guiding light beckons the leaders of the largest and oldest black sorority to the Philadelphia area today.

As the kick-off for its centennial convention, the top officials of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority are making a pilgrimage to Sharon Hill, Delaware County, to visit the grave of the sorority's founder, Ethel Hedgeman Lyle, who is often reverently referred to as "The Guiding Light."

"We are here to say [to Lyle], 'We are still true to the ideals you had 100 years ago,' " said Evelyn Sample-Oates, the sorority's regional director.

After arriving by train from Washington, D.C., about 150 sorority officials will gather at Lyle's tombstone at Mount Lawn Cemetery to offer tribute.
