When Stephen Colbert kicked off his show, he said "And New York Post, I'm claiming 'Eliot Mess'".

LOL.

I just wanna know...why is it when you get caught ....you have to appear with your spouse?

When the NJ govvie came out of the closet, he was with his wife.

When Craig got caught in the bathroo......wwaaaait....

They were gay.....

O well....

So...ummm uhhh stilll....what was his excuse to his wife?

And ladies...be honest......be really really honest...if that was you and your husband had to face the media knowing how much he paid a hooker for a night...how much would he have to pay you to have you get in front of the cameras with his dumb @ss?

Dang....that is a thought....he spent $4000+ for a hooker....just think how much he will have to give up in the divorce.

How is it that you over pay for services of that sort...?

He could have saved money just by.....

SLEEPING WITH HIS WIFE!!!

^^^^ You know, I said something similar to that to my husband. But then he pointed out that we don't know what kind of relationship they had. She may be not interested in having a sexual relationship with him. I mean, she's in the time of life when hormones are in flux, so it could be biological. Or it could be that she was tired of doing it with a naked mole-rat look alike. Maybe it was a shortcoming on his part... who knows. At any rate, I KNOW that I would be nowhere near my husband if he had to make a statement like that. He'd be facing that isht on his own. I might work to forgive him, but I'm probably not going to be in a benevolent mood and help him save a little political face.

And nittany, I haven't seen Colbert yet (it comes on a day behind here), but he's going to have to take down Matt Lauer. He used "Eliot Mess" on the Today Show this morning. I haven't checked Newsday or the Daily News, but the NY Post headline: HO NO! I cracked up.

Hormones in flux my arse.....FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS for a hoe????

I want to see the itemized receipt...what was she doing...charging by the stroke?

Adding extra for cuddling and spooning?

Getting bonuses for fellatio?

Giving him a discount if he proved that he was a cunning linguist???

Did pub trivia as an alum chapter even last night. Here were some of the team names:
Client 9 and a half
Clients 1-8
Spitzer Swallows (there were four teams with this name and were told they had to reselect)
for $5,500 she better not Spitzer
she doesn't Spitzer, she swallows

At least this guy has the good manners to resign, unlike Detroit's Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who is going to make the city spend even more money and time to take all the steps necessary to get rid of him. And Kwame has done a whole lot worse than just hire a high price prostitute.

I guess what is turning my stomach are the stories of his not wanting to wear a condom. We all know he is not stupid, so I guess it points to arrogance.

The lady in question-from the New York Times of all places. I quess having 25 reporters working on this story gets you a great deal on info:
Woman at the Center of Governor’s Downfall
She left a broken home on the Jersey Shore at 17 and came to New York City to work the nightclubs as a rhythm and blues singer. Now, at 22, she is the unwitting, and as yet unseen, star of the seamy drama that is the downfall of Gov. Eliot Spitzer of New York.

And todays front pages:

Richest man in England also a regular of prostitution ring in Spitzer scandal
The richest man in Great Britain was a customer of the same high-end prostitution service patronized by Gov. Spitzer.
The Duke of Westminster, listed as the world's 46th richest person by Forbes magazine, hired four hookers over a six-week stretch in late 2006 and early last year, the News of the World reported last year.
Despite his incredible wealth, multi-billionaire Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor haggled with one of the Emperors Club girls for the cost of their date, according to the report.
