No I’m not saying that I know that for a fact. But considering the extreme lack of content that I came up with when I searched for the word ‘Hautekoko’ I’m just making an educated guess based on this website and the wording of your invitation.

Wow.
I do my best to keep work/personal lives seperate... there are a few work chums that I can totally hang out with outside of work, but I would never ever ever go to a party like that with work people

I agree, it should not be handed out at work. But you know when people are selling stuff, they sometimes have no boundaries. Are you the only coworker that got one?
LOL @ trying out the toys at the party. BUT, I've never heard of folks wearing cocktail dresses to a toy party.
|
It's at somebody's house - not my coworker's. That I know of I'm the only one that got one, but I haven't asked anyone. Now that you mention it, there might be others pondering over the same thing. But doing something like this with co-workers ewwww!

I think your coworker shouldn't have passed it out at work and the wording made it seem wierd, which is why you brought it here. She should've had a convo with the people she wanted to invite to see how they'd receive it before she sent out the invites.

Sistergreek, what happened to "this invite is offensive" and you need to cuss out that coworker blah blah blah . . ." Now my coworker sucks because "all it is is a Passion Party?" You wanted it to be a swinger party didn't you? Then I'd have someone to cuss out and I'd come back to GC and tell you all about the drama

You getting invited to a swinger party is a funnier thread than a Passion Party.
Now you shouldn't cuss out your coworker because I have found that some people actually invite coworkers to this stuff for some reason. It doesn't make sense to me but apparently I'm a prude who doesn't mingle with my colleagues like that. I suggest that you just don't show up if you have no interest in it/it makes you uncomfortable. Maybe even mention to that coworker that you had no idea what this was about and that it made you uncomfortable. If they try to talk to you about sex toys at work or invite you to something else, CUSS 'EM OUT.

Bluetiful, stop adding the smilies. LOL. I saw the original emoticon that you had and I know that the smilies are changing the tone of the post. It's okay that you were baffled because you thought I am singing a different tune. The only thing that has changed is that you don't cuss out your coworker.
ETA: Don't be showing up at that party with your cocktail dress and "bedroom name," though. You ain't slick. LOL.

I wasn't baffled by your tune at all. But without the smileys you thought I was huh? (oops there's another smiley) I forgot to add it to the post the first time. Then you would have known I was just being funny - not really baffled. I have a naturally sarcastic and humorous personality . . . and I forget when I'm online that those who read what I write don't know that. So the smileys convey my sarcasm or that I'm just being funny as opposed to the reader taking it the way it reads. So DSTChaos, just for you and oh and don't forget but those are the last smileys you get from me girl! I've read your posts enough and I should've known you can handle sarcasm with no smileys!
Oh, and I would have gone to the party had it not been a coworker who invited me! I'd use my real bedroom name though - not a made-up one (ok last one) (no, this one is the last smiley for reals)

I thought you were jokingly serious. Just making sure I didn't appear to suddenly be doing cartwheels over this party.
You're gonna be there. You might wear a disguise but you'll be there. Let us know how it was, gurrrl!!!!
But seriously don't forget to talk to your coworker if you're uncomfortable with this whole thing.

You know you were. Ain't no shame in that. That's why we on GC b/c we have no life (no smiley)

I thought these parties were typically just for the ladies, or just for the guys..not typically co-ed? I mean, if I wanted to get a sex toy (freaky or not), I certainly wouldn't want to buy it in front of any co-workers, much less male ones.
It did sound like a swingers party at first though...that would have been freaky.
