I used Irishpipes' list as well. I went back, made a spreadsheet and still got 35! lol.

Here is the overlap for Sigma Kappa. I found it interesting that we don't have one main "competitor", like Kappa and Theta are with each other, or ASA and AST, for example. I don't think it is surprising that Chi O and DZ top the list, since they have the most chapters, although, coming from UMD, those wouldn't have immediately come to mind, because we don't have Chi O or DZ and we have 4 toward the bottom of SigKap's overlap list (AEPhi, DPhiE, Phi Sig, and SDT). I guess Sigma Kappa just has chapters at all kinds of different schools.

That's quite the undertaking. I'd say that for the sorority side, if you were interested and had the time, using the thead that IrishPipes started for 2007-2008 Recruitment would probably be a good idea. It has every chapter ever listed (or probably as good as you'll find).

The word "competitors" has a negative connotation and shouldn't be used in this context.
