Which is the hilarious part. I was watching one of Clinton's conferences the other day, and she said "We all make choices as to whom we associate with; they reflect our ability as leaders." I could not believe that she stood up there and said that with a straight face, with all of the skeleton's in her closet.
The stories they try to sell us.

^^Right, and Rev. Wright is not playing the game that they want him to play. He is playing his game. Obama has to play their game, Rev. Wright does not.

Reason: Had to fix that; it was wrong.

Yep.
So I want him to sit down for reasons beyond Obama.

Watching news on it now. Obama has lost some points with me. He's making a good political move, but a bad ethical one in my opinion.

I disagree. People outgrow aspects of their life all the time. I go back to my old neighborhood in North Philly where I spent my formative years and I can't relate anymore.
I believe him when he says that he wants to further shield the church from press scrutiny.
I also think that this was the best point to leave the church from a political standpoint but also from a personal one. He is not the same person who attended the church for all those years. He has a new reality that he must deal with. He will be spending the next 8 years in Washington anyway so why not make a clean break?

^^I guess that some think that his withdrawing from the church is not going to lessen the amount of scrutiny and that his leaving now, in this moment, raises some questions for them that had not been raised before.

Obama has to leave because it is not fair to the church, its pastors, its members, or its guests to have the media, and especially Fox News going through every word that has ever been spoken there. People have been stealing church bulletins out of the trash. Also, speakers are too tempted to "perform" on the Trinity stage and it is not good for anyone.

That is the only way that I can respect the decision, if the request came from the church. In my opinion, people are still going to be doing those things because though he has left, there is still a twenty year relationship with the church. I don't really think that it will change much of anthing in terms of the way that the media handles the church.

Most definitely. And, it's not going to change the "why didn't he leave sooner?" comments. The church will be under scrutiny for the duration of this election season. The beginning of the end was that race speech which, while eloquent perhaps, would have been a great opportunity to clarify the church's (and Rev. Wright's) stance on things in a way that wasn't as threatening as what Wright had been saying.

Being that Wright is an Omega and many of Obama's close friends are Omegas such as Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr., I wonder if Obama has ever been approached by Omega?
