Favorite Beta Event
Since the Cheese discussion went no where........
What was your most favorite Beta event?
Mine was getting to plan and execute the last formal dance/party of the Indiana State Univerity Colony. And I got to do it as a Pledge.

Winter formal, senior year. 12 men, 12 dates, 1 keg, 2 fifths of liquor...Dominated (that pretty much describes the attendees and the vessels of booze...).
I don't think it fits the criteria of being a "Beta" function, but 2 days after graduation, 11 guys in my pledge class went to Vegas together. Awesome, awesome trip.

The road trips were always my favorites- going to Auburn to watch Georgia break Auburn's 2 year winning streak with a tie game, going to Birmingham to watch Michael Jordan play baseball (that was a hilarious experience) and many more.
After that it would have to be game days.
If it is Betas gathering, it is a Beta event in my view.

Road Trips, all of them: Nebraska, Iowa, Iowa State, Denver, UMinn, Madison, Lawrence, MTSU, Auburn, Arizona, U-IL, Northwestern, Purdue, Alpha, CO-School of Mines...etc. All are priceless.

Good topic! Too many to name though.
The first one that springs to mind...crashing sorority date parties. Getting dressed up in a suit, walking in like I own the place, drinking as much off their tab until one of the girls gets pissed off, and then either stealing some other dude's date or getting kicked out! Getting kicked out would only necessitate moving on to the next sorority date party and trying it all over again.
Summers at the Beta house were awesome also. A handful of brothers, BBQing everyday, drinking well into the night-sometimes until the sun came up, and then doing it again the next night. Good times. Throw in going to a swimming hole and some women, best times of my life.

I would have to say the 4 1/2 hour trip to the Hall of Chapters in Oxford for Initiation was the most fun time we've had so far... unless you count the 3 hour trip home.
We haven't had the chance to get any good social events yet, but we've got a mixer planned for each of the five sororities on campus. They were so excited for Beta to come to campus, and were so blown away by our first serenade they offered to pay for the each one when we mentioned our budget couldn't afford to have a mixer with each of them.
I'll let you all know how those turn out, as well as an update for Greek Week

It went on much longer than I expected it to. Which is a bit sad.
