i love Alexis! Is she the one with the long hair? ya i'm hoping it's all false, how can either of them jeopardize the lives of their kids and families. I guess we just don't know the full story of their personal/public lives

Bump for the season premiere.
I appreciate how honest (or dishonest, depending on what lens you're looking at this through) they're being about the drama.
It's weird that they're interviewing separately.
SWTXBelle seems like they're alluding to a possible "Jon minus nine" situation, although I doubt that'll be on tv.

So sad for the kids . . . no matter how it turns out.

I say that's the reaction they were going for. People will appreciate the honesty and be driven by the soap opera antics of an "uncertain future." It's as predictable as watching The Hills.
I believe this is all a publicity stunt. People were getting a little bored with the "+8" and wanted to focus more on Jon and Kate, since their marriage arrangement always seemed strange.

I would have watched the season premiere regardless because I like the show but I can see what you're saying.
I feel bad for the kids, that's for sure. My heart almost broke when Hannah said to Jon "I don't want you to leave again daddy."

Maybe I turned away too quickly...but did anyone else notice that they didn't do the usual "Next Time on Jon and Kate Plus 8" at the end of the show?
Jon seems sorta resigned to it being over, Kate seems very tired and sad. Like she sorta feels like she may have brought this upon herself. But at the same time she doesn't want to seem as if she's just miserable and pining away after Jon.
Sad situation all the way around

There was a commercial about the next episode about 5 minutes into this cake boss show.
Apparently Kate and Maddy are in California while Jon's at home with the other seven kids. Kinda like how Jon and Cara went skiing in Utah while Kate was at home with the other seven kids?

Good. I guessed that maybe I just turned away too soon to watch the Nuggets/Lakers game.

I think it was kinda funny to be having white arrows to point out where the paparazzi were, like duh, we know you're there!
Was it my imagination where one time Kate gave someone some cake but didn't give Jon any?
Sad when she acknowledged early in the episode that she knows that she's been mean to him all these years...then why haven't you improved!!
Like it's mentioned, they rarely were seen just normal holding hands, smooching. I realize it's hard to do all the time but it seems like the camera(s) would have picked it up more if it had been there.

When you think about their odds of making it, it's really tough. First off the multiples thing. Add into it the statistics of married couples that stay married throughout the course of their reality shows... even if couples don't divorce they have serious marital difficulties.
It just sucks. I've been a fan of the show (not obsessed and I don't watch it every week but I do tune in for the premieres and try to catch the marathons) and I can't say that it's a complete surprise that it's going this way. Even if Kate hadn't behaved so meanly to Jon I think it would have gone this way, to be completely honest.

I think it just boils down to the fact that Jon hadn't wanted to be married, and having the sextuplets didn't help, so he just has given up on the whole situation.

Most depressing evening of TV ever.

They already talk like a divorced couple. They both admit their focus is the kids. They never really talked about the other spouse. You can't stay married just for the kids.

I feel sorry for Kara and Maddy who, you know, are going to have someone at school say, "I saw your mommy crying on tv...etc." It is obvious that both of the older girls know something is up.
Also, for everyone who has remarked about the exploitation of the little ones, I think the chance at a normal childhood has gone by the wayside as the media craze has been ratcheted up several notches. When you have to give instructions about the paparazzi waiting outside the party store before you can unload the van, that is not normal.
IMO, the "I do this all for my kids" slogan is wearing thin. The marriage has suffered and now the kids will suffer. Time to get out. Write a book about the strain multiples and reality shows put on marriages and cash in...
It is really a sad, sad situation. (as are most divorces)
