well, in a way it sounds good, but the flip side is if you have to miss the formal for some reason....AFAIK you don't get that portion of your dues back. And that would suck.

I'll ask them about it, but I think either way, I might have made my decision, if I do actually get two bids like I thought I would (Side note--no one called me from Greek Life last night to tell me that I DIDN'T have a bid, so thats very nice.) I'm still a little sad I'm going to be missing out on the other one, but I just think the one I'm favoring is the best one because I can definately see myself doing really good things there...everyone really helped with that because you all offered really great advice. I also thought of it in terms of whether I could see some of my very best friends fitting in there, and that worked pretty well too.

Bids are given out at 9 (in thirty minutes) and I have class from 9:30 to pretty much 5 pm and I'll probably have a busy day besides that so I'll update when I can update..You better believe I'll be at Memorial Hall (hint!!!) right around 9 am (because I'm excited...and because otherwise I'll be 100% late for class!)

Yep, I'm a Dawg (though a new one--I just transferred here this semester!)!! DG was Emerald. AGD was Princess. (I only feel okay saying that because I was SO close to accepting their bid. I starred at the bid sheet for a while trying to figure out if circling DG was right. --And because there were really only two or three going through recruitment so it wouldn't be hard to figure out anyways!) I can definately see great things coming out of this!

I also have to say that GC helped out A LOT!!! Not only through everyone helping me with advice via this thread, but the fact that I actually got to meet and tour DGs house last November via a GCer, which was nice because since I'm out of state, its hard to describe the houses/people to my parents, and so my mom has a little bit of a clue of what DG is about and their house and stuff. So that was amazing.
