She had asked in another thread about Winterfest at FSU, so I'm assuming that's where she is, unless she was maybe asking for someone else?

a year or two ago another pnm reported her informal recruitment experience at uf here on greekchat. she went in not knowing what to expect, and ended up falling in love with one chapter and happily accepted a bid from them. i wish the same for you!!

If the other sorority is interested in me I should receive an email tonight inviting me to do an informal rush this week. I am torn between this one sorority or just waiting until fall....ahhh!!

I'd say check out every chapter that is participating this semester. If you find one you like, and they offer you a bid, it might be a good idea to take it. It's not unheard of for juniors to get bids even at the most competitive schools, but the longer you wait, the harder it will get. I'd hate for you to blow a chance with a chapter that would be a great fit and available for you to join now, only to not have any of those three as a choice in fall recruitment.

I don't know what school you're at, but at the bigger schools in FL like UF & FSU, it can be harder for upperclassmen to get bids. It's not totally impossible, but your chance of getting a bid would be less than that of a freshman or sophomore.

I definitely say give informal recruitment a chance. I agree that if you wait for fall, your chances will be very slim. Maximize your opportunity now. If you get a bid from an sorority that you really like, then I think you should accept.

fingers crossed that you receive emails for all the sororities that can participate in informal recruitment. give them all a good look, and visit them each several times if you are invited to.
in other words, give yourself as many chances to fall in love with these 3chapters as you can. if it doesn't work out, you can always give fall recruitment a try, but why delay enjoying the fun and sisterhood you can be enjoying now, for something that might not materialize in the fall?
