non-profit sorority connections

I work with a non-profit that works with HIV orphans and Vulnerable Children in Africa, Asia and South America. Our organization, FXB International, was founded in Geneva. FXB USA is a very small 501c3 public charity in the US. We are not widely know in the US and are looking for opportunities to let more people know about the work that we do. I know sororities and fraternities are often active with charity work and fundraising. Any suggestions for connecting with groups would be appreciated. Would it be more effective to reach out to groups through the local chapters or the national office? Anyone interested in helping us or just interested in further information about our work please don't hesitate to contact us. Thanks, Anna

I, too, work for a small HIV/AIDS non-profit.

I think how you reach out depends on what kind of assistance you want.

Since my organization is local, our fraternity/sorority outreach involves Board of Directors recruitment, donations for clothing drives, and man hours in our food bank.

Next year, I hope to expand that involvement and increase personal contact of Greeks to our mission.

I would suggest that you research with national GLOs have HIV/AIDS and/or children as primary focuses. Then reach out to their executive directors or program coordinators to engage them in conversations about how your org can enrich theirs.

There may be others, but I know that Sigma Phi Epsilon has this as their philanthropy. They would be a good place to start
