Myrtle Beach- Community Local?
Hey guys! I'm not certain if this is where I should be posting this, but it's worth a try. Surely the lovely moderators can point me in the right direction if I am in the wrong place.
I'm another PNM in a weird situation. Without going into too much detail, I was promised a bid to a NPC sorority, and I did not get that bid. Since then, I've changed schools and I'm at the local tech school finishing up an Associate's Degree. Considering that I am at a 2 year school, I have no way of joining a collegiate sorority. I won't even consider dropping "that" bomb. As a long time guest lurking around here...I know how those two little letters can ruin my chances of getting this idea of mine off the ground. Here's what I really want to say:
I'd like to reach out to the ladies of the * area and see who might be interested in forming a community sorority. I have already sent off e-mails to 2 existing community sororities who might be willing to colonize here in *. Another possibility is to form a true local, something from scratch, which would be much more difficult. Know that I am searching for sisterhood, not just philanthropy.
I've done a great deal of research and the only group of this kind in * is Epsilon Sigma Alpha. However, none of these ladies are under the age of 30. As a female in my twenties, I do not believe I could relate, and it is my impression that most women share this opinion. I'm not restricting my search to ladies under thirty, but I would like to open doors for women in their twenties to have a group they can grow and flourish in.
For any ladies interested, feel free to PM me.
For everyone else, I would love to hear what you have to say. I know that starting a new chapter, even with backing from "Nationals" will be tough, but I believe it can be done.
