Brothers, I need your help - Regarding: Chapter Size
I am the Vice President of Delta Sigma Phi (Epsilon Sigma chapter) here at UNLV. As it stands right now, we are the smallest fraternity on campus with only 9 active brothers, and only 4 whom actually participate in anything. Since there are so few of us, and even less that are willing to do the work and help this chapter i am also filling the role of the Rush chair and Pledge Educator. I seriously need to pull something big out of my ass at this point with bringing in new people (i was initiated over the summer so this is my first attempt). I want to pull off a 10+ man pledge class, but I'm not even sure where to start right now. I've been doing some recruitment throughout the last month, and i have one person who will definitely be pledging this fraternity as well as two others who are very close to definite.
At UNLV, we have formal rush, and each fraternity gets 3 days for events (although we are planning to try and hold other more low key events to keep them coming around and not looking at other fraternities). Can anyone help me out with ideas of what to do? I'm thinking maybe a bar-b-q or something and maybe a poker night.
at this point anything in regards to recruitment will help tremendously. thank you all for your time.
Greg
