Do you know which sororities at Ole Miss publish that a PNM needs to have a 3.0 or better? Will they cut her before she has to narrow down her choices? Thanks to all who took the time to enlighten me. I really appreciate all the private message that were sent. I am not going to let my daughter know that I am concerned. What is meant to be will be! I do have one further question. Do most mother's come to Oxford the night the bids go out?

I went, and there were a lot of them there, but it isn't like Alabama where they feed everybody and if I were doing it again I would stay home--the girls are tied up getting pictures made, then they leave and go somewhere! However, if you have never seen a bid day and want to go just to see one, it is quite an experience! Just don't think you will spend much time with your daughter!

There are alot of moms there. Two years ago when my daughter was a sophomore we went to a game the week before rush started and the number of moms trying to find a hotel for bid day was very high.

Parents, sisters, aunts, grandparents, all come to Bid Day. There will also be lots of alumnae there as well.

My Mom didn't come the weekend bids went out because she knew that we would be so busy hanging out with all our new sisters. I can't remember if she came to the house for rush or not. For some reason I think she skipped that year because she was a nervous as I was!

In any case, she came down like the weekend after rush to bring me all the goodies she had been hording over the years! It was hilarious!
