I don't know anything aboout Bama KDs in particular, but in my browsing, I've noticed that it's often the biggest, oldest, and most "highly ranked" chapters that still don't have websites when everybody else does. My guess is that they don't feel the same need for PR that smaller chapters do.

Well, that makes some sense, but Bama A Chi O's have one (although right now you can only see the home page, I'm sure that'll soon enough be fixed), and they're almost as big.

Also, right now AOPi's and Theta's at Bama don't either although they have within the last year or two.

Tri-Delta has a website at the Univ. of Alabama. There are also websites at Ole Miss, Univ. of Oklahoma, Univ. of Florida, Mississippi State and Univ. of Georgia. These are all established chapters. As far as I know DDD does not have a chapter without a website.
Here is the website for Alabama: www.bamatridelta.com/univ_alabama.html All photos have been removed due to recruitment.

Phi Mu's hasn't apparently been renewed and the Kappas' hasn't been updated since March of this year but apparently the KD's have never had one. Would you be able to find out why? Also, is it possible that they'll have one up anytime soon? Just wonderin!

I've been wondering the same thing myself! I figure it is because they are too busy (or too lazy ) or can't get a volunteer to head it up. As a graphic designer, I know how tough it is to get a website together. I will try to look into it - I would certainly like to see one up soon!

Thanks!! It looks like they would have LOTS of nice stuff to put on it. I just have to say that Panhellenic Council member Collier Broadaway is one attractive young lady! Especially the picture of her modeling dresses to wear for open house day in the "what to wear for recruitment" section of the panhellenic association site, I've seldom (and I went to Ole Miss, so I know an attractive lady when I see one!) seen anything so darling and adorable!! She's a real credit to the chapter!

My last year there was the first year they did this...That year we were able to pledge 3 upperclassmen in addition to our freshman quota. I think it is GREAT for for older girls involved!

It's great because previously, they pretty much just didn't get bids.

Man! I am just finding out about all sorts of people from my past during this recruitment season.
Apparently a girl I went to HS with is currently an ADPi at Bama!
Good luck to all the girls out there, looking forward to the bid-day results.

Ugh
How many PNMs have been totally dropped for one reason or another - either no invites back or decided not to go through with it? My daughter is still holding up well, although I am not. She was finally dropped by the two more "elite/Old Row" sororities that I couldn't imagine her pledging, and by her second choice house. That leaves her with invites to Skit Day at her first choice, third choice, and one she previously expressed little interest in. She really thought she was doing well at Choice #2, and was surprised to be dropped. If she is invited back to all three for tomorrow, should she list all three on her bid card and hope for the best, risking disappointment if she is matched with #3, or only list 1 and 2, still hoping for the best? I am no help here.

If she would rather stab her eye out with a fork and burst into flames than be in number 3, she shouldn't list them.
But tell her to give them one more chance tomorrow before she makes that decision. It could be third choice or not being Greek at all (although I hope that's not the case).
There are girls on here who haven't liked a group at all through rush, and then got to Pref and, if not fell in love with them, decided there was more to them than they thought. Only she can decide.

And I think it will only get worse now that Alabama is recruiting heavily out West where people aren't that ga-ga over football. Didn't I read somewhere they are trying to get 40% out of stater's? It's all about that "out of state tuition" money now at all college campuses.

Yep, Bear sure was a Sigma Nu!
Same fraternity as Archie and Eli Manning (and Senator Trent Lott for that matter) at my alma matter!! Since I mentioned chapter websites much earlier, Bama Sigma Nu's could really do with one!! I wonder if they'd hang a prominent houndstooth somewhere on their frontpage! Then again, I wonder if they don't have one so they don't risk being accused of using an unfair advantage. . .NAH!!!! Sorry to get started this most recent tangent , figured everyone knew The Bear and Mama Bear (that allright? ), and would like a little funny story about two of the most successful Alabama greeks!! I knew about The Bear in Mississippi LONG before I became a college football fan!! I was in seventh grade when he passed, and I remember one of my teachers (originally from the wiregrass BTW) saying you'd have to live in a cave not to know who he was!!

OT--
Saban may be recruiting out in the west, but Pete Carroll has the 5* players in his camp at this point.
