Yeah, I wasn't actually that offended... I've just been spending too much time on college football message boards, that's all

On a interesting (completely off-topic) note, my mother heard that "goods are odd" thing from a female orientation leader (an AXO, and the future Ms. Georgia Tech!) at my freshman orientation, the summer before my freshman year. She was trying to reassure my mom that I'd have a normal social life, because "half the guys don't leave their dorms anyway, so you barely even feel the ratio!" Not quite true, but it made my mom feel better, and that's what orientation leaders are for, right?

Boys going to Tech get a lot more abuse from their friends (especially those going to UGA where there are about 10% more girls than boys) about how there will be no girls there or they're all ugly....so it goes both ways.

And we use the "odds are good" line all the time....surely that's not the first time you've heard it!

The relationship between NIC (national interfraternity council) and IFC is much looser than the NPC/Panhellenic relationship, to put it mildly. http://nicindy.org/information/NIC_m...ties/index.php is a list of all the NIC members, but there are several IFC fraternities (Kappa Sigma, Phi Delta Theta, a few others?) that aren't NIC members, and several of the NIC fraternities (Alpha Phi Alpha, Iota Phi Theta) that are also NPHC fraternities.

In short, there's no real answer to your question. I can tell you that there are only a few fraternities with any sort of presence in the Southeast that aren't represented at Georgia Tech. The list is at http://cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/ifc/inde...e=fraternities
