Mom's/Dad's/ Parent's weekend ideas?
So I am planning a Dad's weekend for the fall and a Mom's weekend in the spring for my house...but i could use some ideas? What type of things are done for these types of weekends? Thanks!

For Mom's day, how about a "spa" day? It would depend on what is in your college town, of course, but you might be able to take over a salon and have manis, pedis, etc. We did it once and it was fun.

You could do a Daddy-Daughter "King for a Day" and make crowns for all the dads with his name and his daughter's name, your letters, etc. Do a philanthropy project together, have a picnic lunch with color war-type games, go bowling, get a block of seats to go a sporting event together, etc.
For Mom's weekend, plan a tea, a trip to a local museum, a philanthropy activity, a group work-out, take over a cooking school and make a meal together, etc.

Dad's day - we always have a golf tournament, big cookout/crawfish boil, and a bar rented out for night time.

It's also nice if you have a gift or a gift bag related to your group and/or college that you can give them as a treat. We had each member pay for a gift bag filled for their parents, who seemed to always appreciate it.

thetadancer, that is a great suggestion. i have heard of chapters that have ball caps printed with "xyz dad's day"-always a hit with the dads!
a bid day type bag with "xyz mom" would be cute.

We paired up with a fraternity for a Dads Weekend and we had a casino night for all the dads. At the end of the night, the Dads could "buy" things with the play money that they won.
For Mom's Weekend we had a brunch followed by a silent auction and then a Mary Kay makeover workshop.
