I only know him from this song, but didn't know much else. When I did a search, I found out he was in the group Playa. I still rock "Cheers 2 U." He's been dead since February. Sad.

Anyway, there really is no need for an aftershow.

I was happy to see/hear Maxwell too; I used to be a huge fan (still am). I hope he grows the fro again also, it was beautiful and it was not a weave. For his second studio album (Embrya), he wore it mostly in braids. See pictures below:

I was hanging out with my dad after work, so I missed most of the show, even Kanye. I came in when Rihanna was going off.

I'm sorry RD, but Lil Wayne does nothing for me. And T-Pain is about as dark as the dreads in his hair.

I thought I was the only one who thought Aww Baby (Ashanti) should have brought her dress down. And Cirra could have at least tried to sing.

I did see a recap where it looked like Chrissy Poo was humping. Isn't he too young for that? Reminded me on those Sigma step shows in college.

Got to watch the full thing Friday.

I love Wayne, especially since I know him from back in the day in school. However, I do believe that he needs to get up off "that stuff" because he is not himself anymore.

T-Pain is not my type of hype. There are so many things that I could say about him, but there isn't enough time in the day. LOL!

Observations of the night...

Was it me or were alot of the award winners not present?
Wayne is growing on me.
T-Pain needs to lay off the drugs.
Al Green did his thing.
Quincy Jones is really inspirational
Envogue, SWV and TLC had me
Rhianna is blossoming and becoming a better entertainer although I am still not a big fan of her music!
Maxwell is still fly with the haircut!

1. I like Lil' Wayne but his drug use definitely shows through.
2. T-Pain reminds me of someone performing in black face. I put him and
Flava Flav in the same category.
3. Uh Chris Brown is legal and can get it but he should definitely cut the faux
hawk.
4. Musically Kanye is a genius but he needs to lay of the crazy pills...
5. Rick Ross DISGUSTS me, he's one candy bar away from being diabetic...
/Hijack/ I'm going off on a tangent for a second to say that this attitude that he a a few of these rappers have that they can be as big as Fat Albert & still have the nerve to look at women like they are God's gift is *gag*. If watching that music video where his big butt pushes the pretty girl (w/his name tatooed on her body) out of bed wasn't enough I now have to look at his misshapen figure on live television.. /End Hijack/

I thought I was the only one that was falling out laughing looking at that fool walking up in slow motion

You made me almost choke on the "Coko has been eating": comment...but it is true. I kept thinking back to thta I married myself a Baller show with Taj and Eddie George and I remember Lee Lee being on there when they were doing some reunion dates and she was saying that she remembers when she was the big one in the group and Taj and Coko and especially Coko were so much smaller that she was....look at Coko now...he he he.

I remember reading a few years back that a CD he was working on was shelved for homo-erotic lyrics & b/c his fanbase is primarily women.

If that was true, I wonder what approach this next one will have.

ETA: no matter what his sexual orientation, I am still a fan.
