I should also mention to play this with the sound on.
That was beautiful!

Does anyone know the name of the song playing or the artist?

When I get engaged, I would hope that the man would know that I prefer white metals to yellow metals (at least for rings) and how to pick a diamond or other stone of good quality, no matter the size. Also, I would hope that he would know that I would prefer something timeless like a round as opposed to something more trendy for which you can clearly tell 10 years later the decade in which you were married. Remember all those people with the marquis cut rings from the late 80s early 90s?

At any rate, it's HIS choice since it is his gift to me ... I just hope that he exercises some taste that would be aligned with my own. LOL. Besides, I guess that I'd be thinking more about what it all means - the marriage for the rest of my life as the engagement is such a short period (hopefully) compared to the rest of my life with someone.

ETA: "When I get engaged *again*" since I just remembered that I was engaged about 12 or so years ago when I was 19. It was love for sure b/c that ring was a sure enough mess. lol...yellow gold, cloudy. When he handed it to me, I knew that it was a CZ...talk about being a diva early in life, lol. I could eyeball a diamond vs. a CZ even at 19. But it was all good. I wore it with pride...cloudy, yellow gold CZ ring and all. And that's real.

Thumbs up

That was the most moving proposal I have ever seen much less heard about. That couple will be just fine. The music is enriching, the spirituality of the couple, their families and friends it shows that it is just right. They are going to be fine. God bless them.

Wow. He really put alot of time and effort into the proposal. That's really nice. I received this by email from a friend. She said that he received this as a vision from G-D (how he was to propose). Does anyone know if there was an underlying meaning to the number ten (ten rooms)?

I saw that link last week sometime. That was the most beautfiul proposal I had ever seen. I won't lie, I cried. I cried because, it was so beautiful, he took a HUGE risk, and not only that, this occurred on my wedding day.

This made it to the listserv. The story behind the proposal..
here's the scenerio...
************************************************** ***
This guy Rob said God was unfolding a vision in his life over the span of about a year and then he put faith to feet and made it happen. Rob and Keisha dated for about 4 years. And he knew that she was the one...but he had to save up for all that God had prompted him to do for her. So in short what you are about to see happened on April 28th....he rented out 10 rooms in the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead and invited about 50-60 people to be there for this special night...Keisha had to go from room to room, and in each room were people who were special to them....his boys...her girls...her Bible Study group....his parents...her parents..etc. and everybody in each room had questions that she had to answer to be able to move to the next room and before she left each room the people there would pray over her....so you have to watch each room to see how that goes...he chose roses because Keisha's aunt (who passed suddenly) loved roses and he bought some of them dipped in gold because of the stories in the Bible about Solomon and how everything was dipped in gold. The song that you hear playing in the background was the same song that was played at Keisha aunts funeral, she was like a second mom to Keisha.

When Rob was asked what he was thinking and how it felt...he said that he was kicking and screaming all the way. not because he did not love Keisha and want to marry her....but because of the time , money, and stress that was spent doing this. Rob, put his house up for rent and saved for her ring and this night and he did it out of obedience...

turn your volume down..

Subject: Robert & Keisha's Engagement Pictures
I have spent the past year of my life piecing together a vision given to
me by God. On April 28th, 2007 that vision was fulfilled.
My labor of love for the woman I love.

"God Is Love...The Proposal"

Robert Gray, Jr.

Outstanding...
