APO AT UAPB

So I have a friend that goes to university of arkansas pine bluff, and she said there is a group of people who are trying to start APO on her campus, but the thing is they aren't offically on her campus but the put up fliers and ect. that can get them in trouble. Does anybody know about this? Just want to get the word out to them so the wont get in trouble.

That's interesting.

You should inquire directly to the APO national office -- the website doesn't show any chapter, interest group, or petitioning group there.

UAPB issues.

I don't know their status now. But they have been in OK shape within the last two months I think. The Section chair in Section 33 is Gisela Sutherland. On February 14, she posted (http://atuapochapter.googlepages.com...d~dec622252)as part of her message to the Bulletinboard for the chapter at Arkansas Tech, the following
UAPB: has recruiting started, and if so, how many? And if so, have you talked about a petitioning date? And have you started them on learning their history? And Torrell, have you made a sponsor/member decision?
Also, due to some wierd situation with the program reading the DB for the chapter list program, they are coming up as "ActiveInactive" rather than simply inactive, which *probably* means that while Inactive, they are also at some level of activity below interest group (which might only be prospect).

Given everything that I've found, my guess is that the group is known by the APO National Office, but not perhaps quite up to IG status yet.

I'm dropping an email about this to the email addresses for Ms Sutherland. For issues with spam, I'm not repeating them here, but you can find them at

All OK

Got an email from the sectional chair. They are a recognized Interest Group, the database at the National Office just hasn't caught up. The section chair says she'll check with them and the school about the issue of advertising...
