No. An alumni beat up a pledge and then the pledge came back with some friends and almost killed the alumni.

The chapter then had a party out in a field somewhere after they had been put on probation.

It's only a colony now, but the charter should be back by May or June.

I'm pretty sure it was because of a pic on facebook that showed alcohol in it. I've been following the case.

That's awesome they were able to get back on campus. It's always good to hear about a chapter returning.

I'm sorry, perhaps with my yankee phd education, I may have misread this article, along with the other dozen or so I could send you. If you are an indication of the "high goals" the chapter has pledged to maintain, I suspect we'll be reading about you again soon enough. I also find it ironic to be referred to as a yankee on St Patrick's Day. Although, if you are an example of a "southern gentleman", perhaps being a "yankee
POS" is something I should prefer to be.

OXFORD - A year-old incident with photos posted on the Internet may have cost the University of Mississippi's Kappa Sigma fraternity its charter.


The Kappa Sigma Supreme Executive Committee voted July 6 to revoked the chapter's charter because of a 2005 incident involving alcohol. Mitchell B. Wilson, the national executive director, said the chapter was sanctioned in 2004, and when the probation was violated, they had no choice but to pull the charter
