How come we only hear about the female cases? I bet there are tons of cases with male teachers having sex with their students. What do they call that crap? Statatory rape while the females are called rape and all over the media.
If it's true, double standard much. Both deserve to be frontline news

Rather unfortunately a teacher in my area is being charged with aggravated assault and sexual abuse of a minor. He's the husband of my former HS English teacher and actually student taught me one semester. He was a crappy teacher IMO but didn't come across as ... well.. creepy. The alleged victims are 2 boys but there really aren't any other details.

We see local news reports all the time of male teachers who are having "relations" with young students and being charged. I think the frequency is actually higher (though I'd have to do some research to prove it) so it's not as "newsworthy". It's simply more commonplace.
