I'm sooo nervous! I'm waiting in my room and if they call us then we don't get a bid (unless it's a call for a snap bid from the house I listed second that I didn't go to pref. for). I'm hoping and praying that the girls at Pi Phi felt the same way I did last night! I actually go to Butler (I think it's safe to reveal that now...I didn't want to offend anyone who went to Butler and was an active if I didn't like their house!) for all of you who were guessing! I'll post later tonight if I do get a bid and where it's from, I'm so nervous!

First of all Jess its 12:03 so I have my fingers crossed for you.

Secondly, to clear up the whole single intentional preference issue, you should have been allowed to write down only one chapter. It is every pnm's right to SIP (aka suicide) but especially if you only went ot one pref party. Now some campuses will make you attend every party you are invited to up to the maximum parties for that round. So I am surprised that Panhel let you regret Alpha Chi for pref but then made you write down a second chapter on your pref card.

Also it used to be that if SIP'd and did not match you were ineligible for a snap bid but still eligible for COB. This rule was to discourage pnm's from writing down one chapter. However several years ago NPC reversed that unanimous agreement. Any women who SIP's is now eligible for a snap bid.

At my school, you HAVE to go to at least 2 prefs if you received that many invitations and you are "strongly discouraged" from only putting one sorority on the bid card. Even if you did not go to 2...you still get to put 3 sororities down...you don't have to put the third but it's a good idea just in case, but you really really need to put down 2. But that's just here...
