My first badge is YG with pearl sides and garnet points. I was advising a collegiate chapter for awhile and bought a WG badge with pearl sides and amethyst points. Since then I have added a vintage badge from my chapter to my collection and it is all pearl. I have come across other GLO badges in antique stores, but no SK badges. Someday I would like to have a vintage scroll edge badge from my chapter. Some GLO national office sell older badges to members. Does anyone know if Sigma Kappa does this? Or what they do with old badges? I have sisters who have lost thiers through the years but don't want to buy a new one, they would prefer an older badge from our chapter instead.

^^ I have NO idea if we do that or not, somehow I missed your post, sorry for the late reply.
So my badge appears to be MIA and I have no urgent need for a replacement right now, but after I get moved out and back in my own place I'd like to order a new one (and finally get a pledge pin of my own too.)
How does the WG pearl with amethyst points look? I was under the impression we could also order custom stones, is that true?

Not the best picture, though.

I am not sure if we can do custom stones. I have not seen it as an option, but I have not called to ask either. I just picked up a badge from my chapter from 1930. I was so happy when I got it, I just love having a piece of history from my chapter. The engraving is so light that I can't read the name of the back. I went online to the For Sisters Only side to see if I could figure it out, but I couldn't.
I am looking to add another vintage badge, but it doesn't have to be from my chapter, so that I can permanently attach it to a badge holder pendant.
When we get a sunny day, I will attempt to take a photo of the amethyst white gold combination. Mine are alternating, not points.

^^^ Still, pretty!!
I'd forgotten how expensive badges were though. Maybe a Christmas present for me this year

Not a badge but look at what was released this morning. LOVE IT! Alas, I'm no longer a collegian & I was never the chapter president so I can't buy it. Beautiful isn't it? I wish there was one for Alumni Chapter President.
Still, I can always get this one that I've always wanted except in white gold. I'll wait until after I give birth though. My fingers are all swollen & can't fit into my wedding bands anymore. Lol!
Of course, I'll get the matching pendant & while I'm at it, I also like this ring. Mike would kill me if I spent all this money. Lol!

I'm sure you know what size you need. Then you can look at it in the box until you can wear it!

I was peeking (for the millionth time) at the official jewelry brochure & say that they are now offering a badge that has emeralds. It's not on the Herff-Jones website but if you look at the catalog through the NHQ website, you'll see it.

I kind of like how our badges only had our official jewel or jewels in our colors. I don't know how I feel about the emerald. Though, since Alpha Xi Delta is going into the NPC rotation, they are offering a limited edition badge with emeralds, so since our turn is kind of soon (2014 I think), maybe that's what they're thinking?

Well, look at the wait as the time to save our pennies to buy the badge.
Mike is not going to be happy. If I could get the ring, pendant and the new badge, I'll be spending almost $1000. Lol! Then again, one could be my baby gift in November, one my anniversary gift in early December and the other my Christmas gift. Come February, I can ask for something else for my birthday. LOL!

that emerald badge is.... interesting. It is okay with the darker more purple enamel in the photo in the brochure, but would remind me of a christmas tree I think with a more traditionally red enamel like some of the badges from the 30's - 60's. hmm.

I'm a traditionalist in this aspect. I prefer our badge with pearls, amethysts or garnets. *shrug* The emerald is pretty but not my style or taste. Then again, I already have my almost dream badge so I shouldn't complain. Lol! My dream badge is the sorority President's diamond badge. I'll never get it but a girl can dream right?

Pardon the intrusion, but can someone post the emerald badge? I'd love to see it!
