The last brushes I got were ecotools (blush) and bare escentuals (liner). I like both so far. To be fair, I got the BE one for $2 since I had a $10 buy anything at Macy's coupon...so it would have to really suck to piss me off.

I love NARS. Every product is wonderful, lasting, and a reasonable price.

The NARS Blush in Orgasm is the only blush that looks good on me. I have never met a woman who it doesn't look good on.

Bump!

Hautelook.com has an Urban Decay sale right now! 70% off!

I just got the following:
- Afterglow Glide-On Blush in both Indecent & Fetish
- Stardust Eye Shadow in Diamond Dog, Void and Moon Spoon
- Ammo Shadowbox Eye Shadow Palette
- Deluxe Eyeshadow in Peace & Fishnet

To be honest, those last two are a bit, um, bold and I'd probably only use as a little bit of a pop along with other colors for a going out look, BUT the reason I added them is because I was able to use a $25 off promo code on top of that!! I needed to get to $50 first, so I needed to add a few items.

So I got all those things, retail value of $182 for only...$32.56!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (includes shipping and tax). I am PUMPED!

Now that I'm off my makeup fast I have to start reading those emails again.

ETA:

Has anyone tried anything from the new revamped Jane line? I love the looks of the palettes and the cream eyeshadows but I really hate the idea of buying something online that I have no idea about the quality of. It's at some Peebles but none near me unfortunately.

Such an Essie fan these days! Finally got round to stocking up on NARS.

Found two great websites for makeup fanatics:

Resurrecting an old thread to ask a question.

Has anyone used Sigma brushes - specifically eye brushes? Several bloggers/vloggers use them, but I think you can only get them online, so you can't feel them before buying. I have heard they are a less expensive version of the wonderful MAC brushes.

From what I gather, Sigma REALLY made a push to get these out to as many bloggers/vloggers as possible. Everyone raves, but everyone raves about Great Lash too...sometimes I think there's a crowd mania that takes over.

Am I not the only one who is less than impressed by Great Lash? I thought there was something wrong with me.

I hate Great Lash. There are some good drug store mascaras, but that one doesn't work for me. CG Lash Blast is good, as is L'Oreal Voluminous.

ETA: But for lower lashes, it is Clinique Lash Power all the way. Absolutely no smudging, flaking, running, etc. EVER. My eyes have a tendency to water, and Lash Power is awesome and lightweight for a waterproof mascara.

Hooray, I'm not alone! I also like Lash Blast and Voluminous from the drugstore.

Yes! I get Clump Crusher. It's awesome.

My issue is eye shadow. I have deep-set eyes (think Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz) and therefore, I have a deep crease where my makeup smudges/clumps/looks like crap. As for colors: I always read online that I should use "bright, shimmery colors," but then I end up looking like a cheap woman of the night.

Who makes a good, neutral color palette that will stay in place all day long?

Urban Decay Naked or Naked 3. Great palettes. I am extremely fair and I think Naked 3's slight lean towards rosy shades works better for me, but both are wonderful palettes with a good mix of matte and shimmer and interesting neutrals.

Yes.. seconded. I like Naked 2 as well, mostly cooler toned neutrals (I have all three Naked palettes). There's also another Naked Basics palette that is all matte neutrals, in case shimmer isn't your thing.

I didn't know there was a makeup thread, I love makeup and own so much that it requires its own train case, with overflow going in various containers on my vanity. Between CPA gigs, I was an artist for MAC Cosmetics for about 6 months and thoroughly enjoyed it!
