Why do you doubt that I spoke to Jesus? Is it because He didn't tell me what YOU wanted to hear? He told me that He uses all kind of situations and circumstances to allow His friends to realize that He is there for them (a friend that sticks closer than a brother, you know). Isn't that what He did with you? He allowed your spirit to recognize that a greek letter organization was not for you-that your service may be elsewhere. My personal experience has allowed me to walk among addicts, prostitutes, murderers, idolators, LIARS other so-called "sinners" and not be harmed or swayed from my path. Jesus has allowed me to show sinners by my life that there is better way to live. But I had to be among sinners to reach them. Some of Jesus' closest, most dedicated, personal friends are those who have come to Him out of horrible personal experieces. They have been through the fire and they are now sure of their purpose in Him. I don't judge. I believe in restoration and reconcilliation. In Him there is no condemnation. Let go of your anger and re-read my first post. Its all love.

Out of all these people you speak the most wisdom and have a very clear understanding of the word of God. I actually have received a lot of what you say and enjoy reading your post. You keep mentioning this scriptures not being clear but again like I said I was addressing Christians. And if you are a Christian you should be reading your Word because when I said that God hates divorce that is an exact quote in the Bible READ MALACHI 2:16.

Many times people read part of the scriptures and not the entire book and they get information wrong or they are mislead to think things that arent true. Which is why we have so many cults are forming. Please remember that when you read the Bible to do research and read other scriptures. If all the laws were the same in the Old Testament than that would mean that when a women is on her menstrual she should flee town for 7 days. That wouldnt not make sense for the time we are living in due to modern technology. Remember that those laws were under Moses, read the New Testament we are under the law of GRACE. When I said that the statement was misleading/inaccurate I cited that example because if you're talking to an unsaved person you really should keep it simple and be clear when you speak. Just because a person says they're a Christian does not mean that they are saved.

Actually you are the one who used part of a scripture. Trust me I'm a long ways from being misinformed but you questioned Christians getting so many divorces and stated that God hates divorce. This is where you should have inserted scripture. That can easily be taken that God does not permit divorce at all.

We can go into the book of Matthew but it just further shows the flaws in your post. This is why I say it's not my place to judge. In Matthew it also speaks of those who were meant to be married and those who were never meant to be married (enuchs). So when you say so many Christians are getting divorced you don't know the reason for their divorce. That's why it's not your place to judge anyone saved or unsaved.

Divorce is permitted by God in both the Old and the New Testament, under the old and new law. An unsaved person would not even know anything about the law one way or the other. So when you made that statement that is when you should have used scripture to clarify what you meant. If that was your intention.

I'm wise enough to know that satan can quote and twist scripture to deceive. I'm also wise enough to know that I can reach more people with love and gentleness than with ranting and raving. It could easily be read that if you get a divorce you're going straight to hell. (Especially if you read all of your other statements before that.) Which simply is not true.

I just cited that particular statement as an example that anyone who knows the Word can see through your post. I believe that your presentation and delivery makes people question your true intentions. I for one question your motives.

I could go on and on because there are so many issues with your post. You're talking about offending people into changing their ways but it's really coming off that you're screaming for attention. You say that you will call a person out about their sin if they claim to be saved. A lot of people would say that you could start in the church first instead of coming here to Greechat. You speak of not tolerating sin however no one forces you to log into Greekchat. Your statements just don't connect.

It's things like this that have caused a lot of people to lose respect for the church and Christians in general. As a very wise friend of mine likes to say always do things in decency and in order. At this point I really ditto CrimsonTide4.
