Just about every foreign country I've been to is the same way...France, Germany, Morocco, India, etc.

Oh - sorry - let me clarify - there was ice, but like just a few pieces. Here, at many places, your drink is 99% ice, and the rest drink. It makes me crazy because I prefer a half & half mix, but people like my parents must have a full (to the rim) glass of ice... and of course crushed ice not cubes. I think its a waste of paying $2 for a drink at a restaurant

Hallelujah, praise the Lord! I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this...

If you consider Kentucky part of the South, I can assure you that isn't true. :P

Its true, we're polite. We may occasionally talk about you behind your back. Usually, its after you unfortunate looking yankees return home.

I know what you mean, but that sentence really sounds funny to me.
Although I do know of parts of Florida that seem like a Third World country, I'm pretty sure it (Florida) is part of the U.S.A.

My mother grew up in Connecticut, and she gets so mad when anyone that's not from New England gets called a yankee. NY, PA, NJ, DE, MD - not yankee!...to her at least
